Maintain decorum in Presidential polls--appeals Pratap Foundation

Jaipur, June 29 (UNI) The Pratap Foundation, a Jaipur based Rajput community social organisation, has appealed to all concerned parties to maintain decorum during the campaigning for July 19 Presidential election.

Talking to reporters, foundation spokesman Mahavir Singh Sarwadi said that the election to the highest constitutional post carried due sanctity and decorum and election held so far for this high office had been contested with a desired decency.

Mr Sarwadi said that personal allegations and counter allegations should be avoided by supporters of both the contestants--UPA-Left combine's Ms Pratibha Patil and NDA backed Independent Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

He expressed satisfaction over the ensuing contest and said that both Ms Patil and Mr Shekhawat were from the Rajput community and therfore the community would be in ''Win-Win'' situation.

''Whoever may win, Rajput community will have reason to celebrate,'' he added.
