Locals catch 'suspect,' hand him over to police

Hyderabad, June 29 (UNI) Locals at the Mecca Masjid here where a bomb went off on May 18, handed over a person to the police who entered the mosque during Friday prayers, today.

Police said the locals saw a person moving suspiciously in the Masjid during the prayers and immediately handed him over to the police.

He was identified as Shiva Shankar of Visakhapatnam and the police was interrogating him.

Nine people were killed in the bomb blast in the masjid during Friday prayers on May 18. The CBI was investigating the case.
