Jyothy Laboratories files DRHP with SEBI

Chennai, June 29: Jyothy Laboratories Limited, a leading company in the fabric care, household insecticide and personal care segments, has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to enter the capital market with an initial public offering of 4,430,260 equity shares through the 100 per cent book building process.

The company proposed to offer the equity shares of Rs five each by way of an offer of sale by the selling shareholders, including Canzone Limited, South Asia Regional Fund, CDC Investment Holdings Limited, ICICI Bank Canada and ICICI Bank UK PLC, a company release here today said.

The offer would constitute 30.52 per cent of the post-issue capital of the company, the release said.

The company's flagship brand, Ujala fabric whitener, had a 68.3 per cent market share in the Indian organised segment for the year ended March 31, 2007, and was purchased by 75.4 million surveyed households between April one, 2006, and March 31, 2007, which represented approximately 37 per cent of the surveyed household population, the release added.
