Indian companies must grow in a competitive way: Kalam
Hyderabad, June 29 (UNI) Stressing the need for marketing products by the Indian companies to other developed nations in a competitive way, President A P J Abdul Kalam today said it was all the more important to face multiple challenges including those from foreign manufacturers in all sectors.
Inaugurating a state of the art Cardiac Stent manufacturing facility at Relisys Medical Devices Limited here, Dr Kalam said ''competitiveness is the common driving factor between the two types of nations''.
Competitiveness has three diamensions, quality, cost effectiveness and availability of the product in the market in time, he added.
Indeed this dynamics of competitiveness was a common factor between a developing country and a developed country, he said.
''There is a relationship between the core competence and the competitiveness of the country. Innovation is the capital that promotes competitiveness,'' the president said.
