Govt changes policy for import of crude oil
New Delhi, June 29 (UNI) The Petroleum Ministry has decided the Board of Oil Public Sector Undertakings would approve the import of crude oil, subject to guidelines on a pilot basis for a year.
Earlier, the oil marketing companies were forwarding their strategy paper for import of crude oil to the Ministry for approval.
After a Parliamentary Consultative Committee (PCC) meeting here late last evening, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said the Board would review the actual crude oil import and the strategy paper approved by it on a quarterly basis and provide an annual review report to the Ministry at the end of the year.
