Chandigarh ICCW branch reconstitued

Chandigarh, June 29: The Chandigarh Administration has reconstituted the union territory branch of the Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW).

The Adviser to the UT Administrator and the Home-cum-Social Welfare Secretary would be the ex-officio President and the ex-officio Vice President of ICCW respectively.

The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Special Secretary Finance, Director, Social Welfare, Director, Public Instructions(S), Director, Health Services, Project Director, State Aids control Society, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Samantaray (Expert in Psychology) and Dr Jyoti Seth (Expert in Sociology and Child Safety issues) would be ex-officio members of the ICCW.

The Joint Director, Government Institute for Mentally Retarded Children, Dr B S Chavan is among those inducted as non official members of ICCW.
