Rural Bank employees defer Nationwide strike
Bangalore, Jun 28 (UNI) The proposed two-day nationwide strike called by the employees Regional Rural Banks (RRB's) has been deferred following intervention by the Chief Labour Commissioners (C) here today.
A release issued by the Joint Forum of Gramin Bank Unions said here today that the two-day strike called on June 29 and 30 had been deferred following the assurance of CLC(C), who had convened a conciliation meeting with the Union representatives and promised them that he would take up the issue with the Union Finance ministry for an amicable settlement.
The Forum leaders would again meet next month to decide the future course of action if the Centre failed to respond positively to their demands which included implementation of pension settlement, party with sponsor banks in payment of allowances and benefits and Uniform manpower planning, recruitment and promotion policy.
