Punjab Govt give sanctions to Dera Chief arrest
Chandigarh, June 28: The Punjab Government has accorded sanctions to the State Home Department for the arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, against whom a case under section 295 A was registered last month.
The sanction was accorded by the state Attorney Generals Office here tonight, an official spokesman said.
A case under Section 295 A was registered against the Dera Chief at Bhatinda on a complaint of local resident there.
A court in Bhatinda while issuing non bailable warrant against Dera Chief has asked the Punjab police to obtained prior sanction from the Punjab government for arresting the Dera Chief in the case.
