Nokia launches E90 Communicator
New Delhi, June 28: Aimed at enhancing business productivity, leading handset maker Nokia India today launched its E90 Communicator, priced at Rs 40,499.
The handset is equipped with two cameras (3.2 mega-pixel camera with flash and auto-focus and a QCIF camera), video conferencing, email access, web browsing, maps application for location-based services and active notes, which allows the user to take notes and tag it to an individual's name.
In addition, it also offers fast connections over WLAN and HSDPA with enhanced 3G to accelerate the mobile use of data and transmission of rich business applications allowing users to view, open, and edit email attachments with Quickoffice (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations) and offers Zip Manager and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Speaking at the product launch, Nokia Enterprise Solutions Country General Manager Chakrapani GK said, ''The launch of Nokia E90 Communicator is the tipping point for business mobility in India.'' Business Mobility has emerged as the biggest reason for enterprises to go mobile as over 60 per cent of the critical business decisions are taken 'on the go', he added.
The communicator user base in India has grown to approximately 1,50,000 users.
''Building on the success of our first generation of Nokia E-series, we are responding to the growing requirements of business customers with a new generation of Nokia E-series devices, with compelling multimedia capabilities,'' Mr Chakrapani said.
E90 Communicator is based on the S60 platform and has an integrated GPS and Nokia Maps application to provide help in finding routes and locating services.
