Govt to open IT parks in all district: Achuthanandan
Thiruvananthapuram, June 28 (UNI) The Kerala government has been planning to open new IT Parks in all districts in the state, except in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, Chief Minister V S Achuthandan informed the Assembly today.
In a written reply to Mr K Kunhiraman member, CPM and others, he said sufficient funds for the purpose had been earmarked in the budget.
Mr Achuthanandan said it was also taking steps to establish IT parks in Kozhikode, Palakkad and Alappuzha districts in the initial stage.
In another written reply to Mr M A Wahid member, Congress and others, he said the government was seriously considering a special rehabilitation package for those who had lost their land in the acquisition for the Smart City project at Kochi.
The previous United Democratic Front (UDF) government had not made any agreement to provide job to a member in each family earlier residing in the land acquired for the project, he added.
