Former regional advisor of NCERT chargesheeted
Patna, Jun 28 (UNI) The State Vigilance Investigation Bureau today chargesheeted Dr Shambhu Prasad Verma, former regional advisor of National Council for Educational Research and Training(NCERT) in a case of operation Black board scam in Bihar.
The chargesheet was filed in the court of special vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar under the various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and prevention of corruption Act.
Another chargesheeted accused was Former Director(Cultural) of Bihars Human Resources Development(HRD) department Dr Devendra Nath Singh.
The case was related to financial irregularities committed during purchase of clock, duster and other related articles for 13,270 primary schools in the state under operation Black Board in 1988. A fund of Rs 19.12 crore was alloted for the purpose.
