EMAAR-MGF Technically qualified for CW Village development
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) The Delhi Development Authority today declared EMAAR-MGF as technically qualified for undertaking the development of the Commonwealth Games Village.
The choice of EMAAR-MGF was made after several meetings by the DDA High Powered Committee constituted for the purpose during which technical bids from many developed were scrutinised.
Finally, EMAAR-MGF was declared successful in the technical bid.
The bidder is required to deposit 25 per cent of the bid amount before the financial bid is opened on July 3.
It may be mentioned that the reserve price for the village has been fixed at Rs 300 crore and the bid has to be more than this amount.
Fourteen developers had requested for qualification and shown interest in taking up the construction of the village.
Out of the 14, only 11 qualified. Out of these 11, only two had submitted their bids for the construction of the village but the bid of M/s DLF was found to be incomplete and therefore, disqualified.
The layout design of the village has already been prepared by M/s Suresh Goel and Associates and the detailed drawings on acceptance of the financial bid will be made by EMAAR-MGF based on the concept and development controls approved by DDA.
The timeline for completion of Commonwealth Games is December 31, 2009.
