Congress(S) to launch three day yatra in TN

Chennai, June 28 (UNI) The Congress (S) in Tamil Nadu will embark on a three-day 'Sathveega Yatra' from Kanniyakumari to Chennai from July one to popularise the idealogies and policies of Mahatma Gandhi Talking to newspersons here today, Party State President Thanjai N Jayapal said the yatra led by former Congress Minister Poovaraghavan, would be flagged off by party National President Kadanappalli Ramachandran, MLA, at Kanniyakumari on July one and culminate at Kamaraj Memorial house here on July three.

The yatra would traverse through many places, including Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem and Villupuram.

As a part of strengthening the party base in Tamil Nadu, wayside meetings would be held in which volunteers of the party would propagate the idealogies and policies of Mahatma Gandhi, he added.
