Centillium launches network products in India

Bangalore, June 28: US-based Centillium Communications today launched its next generation 'Mustang 300 system-on-chip for Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (EPON) and ARION eXtreme VDSL2 solutions' in India.

Launching the product here, Centillium Corporation Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faraj Aalaei said the products 'Gigabit EPON and VDSL2 broadband access solutions' were designed, developed and manufactured at the Bangalore Development Center here.

Mr Aalaei said the Centillium's products provide the consumers winning edge technology in broadband access.

The highly integrated and low power solutions enable cost effective delivery of premium Triple Play services such as bandwidth-intensive IPTV and Video-on-Demand (VoD), he said.

He said the ''Mutsang 300 chipset'' was launched to offer the service providers a unique means of delivering premium Triple Play services through their Ethernet Passive Optical Networks.
