Boeing bags Global Vision Award for work in India
New Delhi, June 28: The US-India Business Council (USIBC) has presented The Boeing Company with Global Vision Award.
The award recognises Boeing's deep and enduring commitment to India, its growing presence in the country, and its continuing efforts to create sustainable value through the development of strategic partnerships with government and industry.
Company's chairman, President and CEO Jim McNerney received the award of USIBC's 32nd anniversary leadership summit in Washington yesterday.
Boeing began its relationship with India 60 years ago when the country joined jet age on the wings of Boeing jetliners. Earlier this year, Boeing expanded its enterprise team in India and is actively developing important, integrated relationships with Indian industry to strengthen its presence across both the defense and commercial sectors.
Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined.
As a major service provider to NASA, Boeing operates the space shuttle and international space station.
Total company revenues for 2006 were 61.5 billion dollars.
