Avocent appoints Apara Enterprise as partner

Bangalore, June 28: US dollar 524 million Avocent Corporation, a leading IT infrastructure management solution provider today announced appointment of Apara Enterprise Solutions as its premier partner in India to sell and support its hardware and software offerings.

Talking to newsmen here Avocent India head Monish Chhabria said with India poised for a high IT growth and penetration Avocent looked to Apara for a jumpt start in the enterprise solution space which was witnessing significant momentum.

Apara Managing Director M S Sidhu said the Avocent products and solutions not only provided best in class solutions in enetperise storage, intelligent networking, enterprise security and applications solutions area, it also provided his company multiple new revenue opportunities and a strong value proposition.

Apara would provide its customers the Avocent DS view@3 Management software platform that enabled secured, centralised management of IT assets in geographically dispersed data centres and allowed IT administrators to remotely access, monitor and control target devices such as servers, routers and intelligent power strips on multiple platforms at numerous locations.

Avocent also announced integration of its flagship DSView 3 Platform with LANDesk Server management software, creating unmatched ability to monitor and manage servers to ensure continual availability.
