50-year-old jumps to death from District Centre bldg
New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) In the eighth such incident in the last two years at the Janakpuri District Centre in West Delhi, a 50-year-old man allegedly jumped to death from one of the multi-storeyed towers there.
Ramesh Kohli, a technical assistant at the Pusa Agricultural Institute's National Physical Laboratory, jumped from the gap of a staircase between the third and fourth floor of DDA Tower at the District Centre at about 0830 hrs, said a police official.
''He was rushed to a nearby hopsital where he was declared 'brought dead'.'' No suicide note has been found, the official added.
Meanwhile, sources said Kohli was undergoing treatment for depression for the last several months Kohli, a resident of Pratap Nagar in Hari Nagar, was under severe depression for the last few days.
Details about the deceased were known through his son's card found in his pocket.
Kohli is the second person to have committed suicide Janakpuri District Centre this year.
On June 10, a 26-year-old woman jumped from the eighth floor of Jaina Towers there.
