Twin blasts rock Dhubri
Guwahati, June 27 (UNI) Two blasts rocked the Gauripur town of Dhubri district in lower Asom today.
Police said the blasts took place near the Gauripur Market at 1350 hours and 1420 hours.
However, there were no casualties.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot and the entire area was cordoned off.
Police were yet to ascertain the militant outfit behind the blasts.
When specifically asked whether the ULFA was behind the incident, a senior police official said that nothing could be said as of now.
''We are investigating. It will be clear only after the investigation,'' he added.
While Dhubri was not a favourite strike area of the ULFA, there were reports of presence of fundamentalist rebels in the place.
