UP: Transistor bomb explosion wounds 4

Pratapgarh, June 27: At least four people, including a child, were grievously wounded after a bomb fitted inside a transistor exploded here this morning.

Police said the mishap occurred in Anusar Dema Village of Mandhata area when some children brought home a transistor lying in a farm.

When it was switched on, the bomb went off.

The injured, identified as Mukesh (5), Pinki (20), Sushma (35) and Lalmani (25) were rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Police have been deployed on the spot and investigations are underway.
