Smugglers arrested from reserve forest in Asom

Kokrajhar, Jun 27 (UNI) Sixteen smugglers were arrested from Chirang reserve forest of Ultapani range of Kokrajhar district of Asom today.

The divisional forest officer (DFO) of Hultagaon forest division informed that a joint team of the forest department and SSB nabbed the smugglers during a raid, which started late last night.

Eleven timber laden carts and 22 buffaloes were seized from them, the DFO added.
