Rubber Board announces financial assistance to buy sprayers

Kottayam, June 27 (UNI) The Rubber Board has announced a financial assistance scheme to purchase sprayers and dusters to increase the productivity in small holdings, during the year 2007-08.

The assistance would be provided to Rubber Producers Societies (RPSs), companies in the RPS sector and Rubber Marketing Co-operative Societies, a release said here.

The rate of assistance for purchasing sprayer-cum-duster would be Rs 30,500, sprayer alone Rs 26,750 and dusting attachment alone (for those who had already purchased the sprayers earlier) was Rs 6,300 only.

The assistance was limited to 50 per cent of the actual cost of the sprayers and dusters or the amount announced, whichever was less.
