K'taka: Police opened fire on 3 member gang
Bangalore, June 27: Police opened fire on a three member gang of robbers who were involved in robbing a petrol bunk on the outskirts of the city on Monday.
Acting on information received by them, police spotted the dacoits hiding in a vehicle near Subramanyapura. When they were challenged by the police one of them attacked them with a sword. In retaliation police fired at them injuring one in the leg and apprehended two others. A police man was also injured. City Police Commissioner N Achutha Rao who visited the hospital said the robbers were known history sheeters and were involved in the robbery of petrol bunk in the city two days ago.
They were allegedly involved in three such incidents during the last two months.
