Naxals blow up bridge

Chatra, June 27 (UNI) The CPI (Maoist) activists today detonated a powerful landmine blowing up a bridge under Hantarganj police station in the district of Jharkhand today.

Police said the CPI (Maoist) ultras, on the second day of their 48-hour economic blockade, exploded the landmine blowing the bridge over Ghari river at busy Hantarganj-Pratappur road near Kasikebal village.

Yesterday, the Maoists torched a vehicle of a marriage party in the district but after dragging out all its occupants.
