MLA has narrow escape after vehicle lost control

Nagpur, June 27 (UNI) A Swatantra Bharat Party (SBP) MLA Wamanrao Chatap, had a narrow escape after the vehicle in which he was travelling lost control and tumbled in Chandrapur district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Mr Chatap was on his way to Chandrapur from his hometown Rajura when the mishap occurred. The vehicle went out of control near Ballarshah, about 15 kilometres from Chandrapur, skidded, and then took three tumbles before coming to rest by the roadside, a party spokesperson said.

However, providentially, Mr Chatap and the other occupant of the car, panchayat samiti member Sheshrao Bonde, did not even get a scratch. The duo then continued on their way. After reaching Chandrapur yesterday, Mr Chatap and Mr Bonde got themselves examined by a doctor.

Mr Chatap later even attended programmes, he was scheduled to attend in Chandrapur, the spokesperson added.

SBP is the political outfit launched by the Shetkari Sanghatana.
