Migrant labourer arrested for rape-murder of minor

Ambala, June 27 (UNI) Police today arrested a migrant labourer for allegedly raping and murdering a six-year-old daughter of his co-worker in Shehzadpur village, about 35 KM from here.

Police said, victim's father Ram Iqbal hailing from Muzzafarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, had family relations with Ajay Nepali, a co-worker in Shehzadpur grain market.

Iqbal said that he had consumed cold drinks with Nepali and others at home and sent his daughter to return the empty bottles.

Soon after Ajay left the house and allgedly waylaid the child.

When the girl didn't return till late night, a search was conducted and her naked dead body was found in the nearby fields, thrown allegedly by Ajay after rape and murder.

olice has registered a case against Ajay Nepali under section 376 and 302 IPC.
