Man gets lifer for wife's murder

Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, June 27 (UNI) A local court today convicted a man of killing his wife and sentenced him to undergo life imprisonment.

Das (32), a drunkard, was arrested for murdering Violet Rani (28) on November seven, 2005.

The Sessions Court here found him guilty of the crime and sentenced him to life imprisonment besides imposing a fine of Rs 1,000.
