K'taka plans to provide connectivity to monuments

Bijapur, June 27 (UNI) Karnataka Tourism Minister B Sreeramulu today said that his department had sent a proposal of Rs 50 crore for development of roads from Highways to connect historical monuments in the state.

Mr Sreeramulu inaugurating a seminar here today said the proposal to provide connectivity to the monuments was under active consideration by the Finance department.

Assuring funds for the development works in the district, he said that the department has released Rs ten crore for the development of airport in the city and another Rs ten crore for the conversion of broadguage works.
