Kerala HC direction on land acquisition for Smart City project

Kochi, Jun 27 (UNI) The Kerala high court today directed the Land Acquisition Officer to serve individual notice of award to all petitioners in a case relating to the acquisiton of land for the Smart City infotech project here before taking any further action.

Justice K Padmanabhan Nair passed the order while disposing a batch of writ petitions against the land acquisition for the Smart City project.

The court also observed that if the authorities proposed to proceed with any rehabilitation scheme, that fact shall also be intimated to the petitioners after fixing the exact benefits which they were entitled to get.
