Jain bags Rs 84 cr order from Coke

Chennai, June 27 (UNI) Jain Irrigation has bagged an Rs 84 crore order from Hindustan Coca Cola Company for supply of mango pulp for popular brand 'Maaza'.

This order has seen a quantum jump compared to the order of Rs 33 crore last year, a company release said here today.

The Mango pulp business was expected to exceed a turnover of Rs 160 crore this year based on additional export orders in hand.

Entire order would be processed in the current mango season.

Its Fruit and Vegetable Processing Division was expected to register more than 50 per cent growth in this fiscal.

The company was expecting to process in excess of 75000 mt of mangoes in the current season registering 60 per cent growth in amount of quantity processed.

The company would product range and strengthen backward linkage with farmers to become a major supplier of frozen, aseptic and dehydrated fruit and vegetable products.

Besides, being the largest mango producing country, India is home to delicious varieties like Alphonso, Kesar, Dasheri, Totapuri and Chusa.
