Indian Bank declares 30 per cent dividend
Chennai, June 27 (UNI) The Indian Bank today declared a dividend of 30 per cent, inclusive of a special dividend of ten per cent to mark its centenary year.
In its maiden Annual General Meeting (AGM) held here, the bank shareholders unanimously passed a resolution, adopting the audited annual statement of accounts for the year 2006-07 and declared the dividend.
The shareholders applauded the bank's overall performance and appreciated the services rendered by the bank, which included educational loans for meritorious students, who were poor, a bank release here said.
Indian Bank Chairman and Managing Director M S Sundara Rajan thanked the shareholders for their overwhelming support and reassured them the bank's continued contribution to the society, the release added.
