Heavy rains lash south Gujarat

Surat, Jun 26 (UNI) Heavy rains continued to lash several areas of Surat and south Gujarat, the district flood control room sources said.

Mangrod region has received the highest (27 mm) rain in past 24 hours followed by Kamrej (22 mm), Choryasi (21 mm), Palsana and Surat (19 mm), while Uchchal received a minimum (1 mm) rainfall.

The average rain received by south Gujarat areas was 14.6 mm.

Heavy rain has been forecast in the next 48 hours.
