Four sustain bullet injuries in clash over old enmity
Hoshiarpur, June 27 (UNI) Four persons received bullet injuries when a group of people attacked them at village Kharl Khurd in this district last evening.
Harmeet Singh Aulakh, Kamalpreet Singh, and Jagdip Singh, all residents of Shehbajpur and Amarjit Singh of Tanda were injured when when about 15 persons, led by Jaswant Singh and Bachitter Singh of Urmur, allegedly attacked them with firearms and sharp-edged weapons at the residence of one Manjit Singh here.
Bachitter Singh allegedly fired a number of shots from .12 bore injuring the four. The assailants also damaged a parked car and motorcycle before escaping from the scene.
All the injured were admitted in Civil Hospital, Tanda from where Kamaljit Singh was referred to DMC Ludhiana under critical condition.
Tanda Police has registered a case under sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of Arms Act and sections 307, 452, 427, 148 and 149 of the IPC in this connection.
According to the police sources, an old enmity was the cause of assault.
