CPI cadres stage demo

Puducherry, June 27 (UNI) Cadres of CPI local unit staged a demonstration in front of the education department here to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, enactment of a legislation to regulate private schools in the Union Territory in admission to Plus One, collection of donation and payment of salary to the teachers.

CPI Puducherry secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, MLA, party national council member R Viswanathan, MLA, and other party functionaries participated in the agitation.
