YSR pays glowing tributes to P V Narasimha Rao
Hyderabad, June 27: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today paid glowing tributes to Former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on the eve of his 87th birthday.
In a message, the chief minister recalled the valuable services rendered by Mr Rao as a veteran freedom fighter, able Parliamentarian, renowned statesman and a great literateur who emerged as a highly 'service-oriented' politician of his times.
A Gandhian in letter and spirit, Mr Rao never compromised with the basics in his long public life spanning over six decades.
An outstanding personality, Mr Rao was very much known for his international perspective and his historic 'economic reforms' were well received by both the developed as well as the developing nations.
Mr Rao was keen to uphold the Gandhian principles of peace and non-violence, and he made himself known for his universal outlook and love for deprived and downtrodden classes of the society, he said.
