CM announces Government Degree College for Chachiot

Shimla, June 27 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has announced to set up a Government Degree College, primary health centre and allocate Rs 100 crore for developmental activities in Chachiot assembly segement of Mandi district.

A sum of Rs five crore had also been sanctioned for creating infrastructure in the Government Degree College that would be opened at Seraj in Lamba Thach, he said during his meeting with a delegation of Congress leaders of Chachiot late last evening.

Mr Singh said his government also announced the setting up of nine schools and a primary health centre besides spending a sum of Rs 100 crore for developmental activities in the assembly segment.

Since Seraj was located in a remote area where higher educational facilities were required, the government has decided to set up a college, he said.

The Chief Minister said a sum of about Rs 100 crore had been made available for speedy development of Chachiot area, adding that there was no dearth of funds for development in the state.
