Chief of Vyasa Thapovanam Matom dead

Thrissur, Jun 27 (UNI) Swami Purushothama Theertha Maharaj, head of the Vyasa Thapovanam Matom at Vadakkanchery in this district, died at a private hospital here today due to old age-related illness.

He was 90.

He is survived by his wife Mathaji Santhadevi, son Prof. P S Padmanabhan and daughters Lakshmi and Rukmini.

He was also the All India General Secretary of the Hindu Navothan Prathishtan.

The final rites will be conducted at Vadakkanchery tomorrow morning.
