Capital-returns to warm, humid conditions
New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) After a pleasant weather in Delhi yesterday brought about by clouds and cool Easterlies, warm and humid conditions returned to the Capital today.
After a day of cloudy weather, Delhiites woke up to a sunny morning today. The sunny weather, coupled with a high humidity of 81 per cent, led to a rise in minimum temperature to 28.4 degrees Celsius.
Though the sky turned cloudy later in the day, and the maximum temperature remained at yesterday's level of 36.1 degree celsius, the heat and humidity had Delhiites in some discomfort.
The pleasantness in the weather could, however, return in the coming days with the weathermen forecasting increase in rainfall activity over Delhi and other plains of Northwest India in the next three days under the influence of a low pressure system over Northwest Bay of Bengal.
''The current meteorological analysis suggest that scattered rain or thundershowers are likely over the Western Himalayan region and plains of Northwest India during the next three days,''the weather office said.
In fact, the weathermen have forecast arrival of the South West Monsoon in Delhi by this weekend.
The met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the Capital during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas.
