Call money rates end high at 6.75-7.00 per cent
Mumbai, Jun 27 (UNI) Call money rates bounced back and closed at two-week high at 6.75-7.00 per cent today as compared to the previous close of 4.50-5.00 per cent.
During the day it touched a high of 7.50-7.75 per cent.
As borrowings towards auctions and new fortnightly requirements remained on the higher side, it sustained pressure on call rates, dealers said.
With the RBI not having received a single bid at the first LAF auction, it accepted only 2 bids for Rs 10 crore at the day's second reverse repo auction. However, no bids were received at the one-day repo auction.
At the CBLO segment, 457 bids for Rs 27,580 crore were traded in the range of 5.00-7.20 per cent.
Call money rates remained firm throughout the day, dealers added.
