BSF seized 285 kg of ganja

Shillong, June 27 (UNI) BSF jawans today seized 285 kg of ganja, worth Rs 10 lakh, from a country boat on the Brahmaputra river, under Dhubri sector in Asom, an official said here today.

The BSF official said the seized ganja was in the process of being smuggled out to Bangladesh by Indian smugglers in connivance with their accomplices in Bangladesh using the river channel.

He, however, said despite best efforts to apprehend the smugglers, they managed to jumped into the river and escaped to Bangladesh.
