BJP activists held for rail roko
Rajahmundry, Jun 27(UNI) About 100 Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) activists were arrested today for staging 'Rail Roko' when they detained Simhadri Express train for Guntur from Visakhapatnam for about 20 minutes protesting against G O 610 and in support of separate Telangana.
Railway sources said the agitation was led by BJP State General Secrtary Somu Veerarju. The activists resorted to slogan shouting "Jai Jai Andhra" and criticised Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) leader K Chandrasekara Rao on the issue, chanting "down down." The demonstrators were later released on bail.
