Bible classics dubbed in Tamil version VCDs released

Chennai, June 27 (UNI) The city-based Santhome Communications Centre has dubbed Bible classic VCDs in Tamil.

Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Minister Geetha Jeevan, who released the VCD at a function here yesterday, lauded the efforts of Goodwill Communications Managing Director Fr Jegath Gaspar and the Meetal Media Director Sathish David and their team.

Receiving the first VCD, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore Diocese A M Chinappa said this kind of good guality VCDs that speaks of great human values should reach the people at the grassroots level of the country.

Fr Gaspar, in his address pointed out that the contents of the VCD, include visual narratives of key Bibilical personalities like Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Solomon, Jeremiah and Mary of Nazareth.

These VCDs tracing back the history between 2000 to 4000 years depict the salvation history of the people of god. These movies directed by acclaimed Hollywood directors like Joseph Sergeant, Roger Yung and Peter Hall were portrayed by celebrated Hollywood actors like Ben Kingsley, Martin Landau, Paul Mercurian, Richard Harris, Barbara Harshly Carolina Rosy, Maximilian Schell and others, he added.

Stating that the music track was scored by famous music Directors like Mario Precinna, Patric Williams and Bruce Burton, he said utmost care was taken by Art Directors Gil Barando and Paulo Piagetty to show all the minute details to take us back to the historical times.

These videos were produced by LUX Radiotelevisione Italiana in Rome by the famous Turner Pictures of Hollywood, he said.
