84 late comers lose a day's salary in Asom
Tinsukia, June 27 (UNI) Cracking down on government officials playing truant off and on, the Tinsukia district administration has ordered a cut of a day's salary to as many as 84 employees.
Tinsukia district commissioner K K Dwivedy yesterday said the administrative officials had paid surprise visits to some government offices and found as many as 84 employees reported attendance much late without any valid reason.
They all were punished with a day's salary cut, Mr Dwivedy said.
He said this has been done to create a healthy work culture among the government officials and employees.
