36 persons injured in mishaps in Nagaland
Kohima, June 27: Altogether 36 people were injured in two separate road mishaps in past 24 hours in Nagaland.
Nine people were wounded when a vehicle in which were travelling rolled down to a gorge near Kiphire town on Monday evening.
In another accident, 27 people were injured, some of them critically, when a truck, in which they were traveling, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge, about 50m below the road.
The mishap occurred when the driver of the vehicle tried to save one pedestrian. All the travelers were coming back after making preparation of forthcoming Sumi festival at Tuluni.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals of Dimapur town.
