16 companies evince interest in Dagmara Hydro-power Project

Patna, June 27 (UNI) Altogether 16 reputed companies have expressed their willingness to take up the proposed Dagmara hydro power project with generation capacity of 126 Megawatt in Supaul district.

Sources in Bihar State Hydro Power Corporations(BHPC) said that following the initiative of Asian Development Bank(ADB), 16 companies had submitted their proposals to prepare detailed project report(DPR) of the Dagmara project.

With the completion of the project, overall power situation in vast areas of Kosi region was expected to witness a considerable improvement, sources added.

The project is one of the biggest hydro power projects of the state.
