Meghalaya: Senior HNLC cadre surrender

Shillong, Jun 26: A self-styled Personal Security Officer of outlawed Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council 'Commander-in-Chief' Bobby Marwein surrendered before the police here on Sunday, police said today.

The surrendered militant, Set Myrlia escaped the 'path of violence' after he fled his camp in Bangladesh due to infighting among the members of the tribal Khasi militant outfit.

He, however, did not deposit any arms or ammunitions.

Meanwhile, police have started to glean information from the former ultra.
