Marg Constructions FY07 income up 135 pc
New Delhi, June 26 (UNI) Infrastructure development company Marg Constructions Ltd has registered an income of Rs 141.85 crore for the year ended March 2007, an increase by over 135 per cent, compared to Rs 60.26 crore during the same period last fiscal.
Its annual net profit was Rs 29.91 crore as against Rs 8.18 crore during 2005-06, up 265 per cent.
EPS for the 12 months ending March '07 grew by 146 per cent to Rs 28.76, it said in a statement.
Marg Constructions's forthcoming projects include development of a port in Karaikal, a mall and serviced apartments on the IT corridor in Chennai and SEZs in Tamil Nadu.
The company's special purpose vehicle (SPV) has recently received approval for establishment of two SEZs in Tamil Nadu on 612 acres of land.
Besides, Marg Constructions has partnered with CII to launch its Grassroots Level Skill Development Initiative, that would provide pre-employment skills and technical training to 5,000 unskilled workforce in Tamil Nadu by the end of 2008.
