Govt constructing pucca houses to help poor: Minister
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, June 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Excise and Prohibition Minister Jakkampudi Ramamohan Rao today said state government is constructing pucca houses, keeping in view welfare of poor.
Laying foundation stone for 200 houses for poor people at a cost of Rs 2.20 crore, Mr Rao said the beneficiaries of this scheme should form committees themselves and oversee the quality of the constructions. Other infrastructures like roads, drains and power would be extended to them in a phased manner, he added.
Under this scheme more houses would be constructed and distributed to the poor, he added.
He directed the housing department officials to complete the constructions within six months and should be allotted to the deserved through lots, he added.
