Cop at Gyanwapi-Kashi Viswanath complex dies

Varanasi, June 26 (UNI) A head constable of Uttar Pradesh police posted at the highly-sensitive Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanwapi complex here died of cardiac arrest late last night, official sources said today.

Amardev Singh (45) posted at the complex for the last two years complained chest pain last night, following which he was rushed to the district hospital, where he was referred to Heritage Hospital.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but was declared brought dead.

Amardev, a resident of neighbouring Chandauli district was presently deployed in the duty room of Gyanwapi-Kashi Vishwanath complex security control room, sources added.
