AP: BJP blocks BC Commission proceedings

Hyderabad, June 26: The BJP in Andhra Pradesh today staged a dharna before the District Collectorate in protest against the state government's proposal to provide reservation to the Muslims in education and jobs. The state BC Commission was holding public hearing on this issue in the premises of the District Collectorate.

Waving placards, party activists led by party State General Secretary K Laxman entered the room where the BC Commission members were holding the hearing on Muslim reservation.

The members had to postpone the hearing as the BJP activists forced them to stop the arguments on the reservation issue.

Police later arrested the activists and leaders for obstructing the proceedings of the Commission.
