Asst Engineer, aides held for fund misappropriation

Machilipatnam, June 26 (UNI) Police arrested a Housing Board Assistant Engineer and his three-aides on charges of misappropriation of funds under Indiramma Housing Programme at Nuzvid division here tonight.

Police said the Assistant Engineer B Samuel and his aides, Sunil, P Vijayananda and Ramadasu, had misappropriated funds to the tune of Rs 21.78 lakh.

The arrested, who were produced before the First Class Magistrate Court at Nuzvid, were remanded in judicial custody.
